Trevor Smitheram is a local historian and the president of Hayle Old Cornwall Society. He is recognised for his outstanding work in reinvigorating Hayle Old Cornwall Society and for his energetic work to preserve and promote the industrial heritage of the town, from recovering artefacts to giving a wide range of talks to groups of all ages.
